I have red dots on my feet and ankles, maybe flea bites. How do I get them to go away?

I have tried neosporin, and cortisone cream that seems to make it less red, but not going away. I don't have a problem with fleas biting me now, they are old bites from like two months ago, and they won't go away, and I can't even wear shorts or sandles because it is so embarassing. Please help. I would go to the doctor, but I don't have insurance, and can't afford to go right now. Can anyone give me a home remedy or over the counter remedy? Thank you so much if you can help.

Vicks, is the best ointment

If you got them two months ago, they aren't flea bites. I don't know what you have. Go to WebMD.com

I have the same problem. When ever I get bit by mosqitoes, it takes months for the signs of the bite to go away. The site bite turns purple. However, this is your body's way of healing itself, and your body just takes a little longer than usual. Sorry, there is nothing you can do to make it go away completely. You will just have to wait it out.

First, search your house for the source of the fleas. By a repellent so you can get rid of the fleas. Then consult a pharmacist. He/she can suggest a soothing ointment or detect another reason for the dots. Sometimes people develop allergic reactions against fleas which can affect the size of the dots. Not only the bites should be treated, but allergy as well.

I have ,TEA TREE OIL, Foot Repair Balm. It's by EARTH THERAPEUTICS, ELEMENTALS.

This works good for me but it might take time for this to clear up for you. Also check at a health foods store, they might have it. Good luck.

i think you are allergic to flea bites..that's why they leave long term marks on your body.
you have to have anti allergic medicine the time you got bit.
for now...all i can advice is a daily shower !

I think it's a damn shame how many people on this site, myself included, don't have and can't afford health insurance. I had this problem once and they should fade in a few months.

Why don;t you try to treat them like Chicken Pox. Get in a Tepid tub of water and get some Oatmeal pack it on let it dry and and then rinse it off. When you dry off dab don;t rub the skin. I bet it will help. Let me Know....GOOD LUCK!!!
