How to treat flea bites?

I spent the night at my friends house last night. Her dog had fleas, but they 'got rid of them'. Except when I slept on the floor, a flea bit me hundreds of times on my legs and feet. I woke up from stratching my leg too hard.
How do I treat it?
And is there a chance of getting sick or a disease from it?

you want to thoroughly wash you leg with anything available, then put antiseptic cream on it every few hours to get rid of the itch. theres very little chance if your not in full contact with the animal. but if the inflamation dosent go down within a week or two, then consult your gp as it may be infected

Ask a vet/your vet for help. They deal with the problem daily. They would be one of your best sources for advice.
