I have lots of flea bites on my face and neck (no pets)?

They started to bite me five days ago and they bite at night. A friend has lent me something that emits a high frequency sound that is supposed to repel fleas and mosquitoes. I don't know if this will work and I'm sure it will not deal with the eggs.

I looked at pictures of flea bites on the internet, they look like what I have. Some of the bites are in lines, which shows the route the flea has taken. My husband has had no bites, but he's much hotter-blooded than me. I thought they bit my face, neck, hands, legs and arms because my tummy was too hot for them. We have a new bed, but the mattress is not new. We got back home from travelling and one day after they started to bite.

Ok, step one: Check your mattress. Look at the end closest to a wall (usually the headend). Look at the edge against the headboard. See any dark streaks (bed bug feces)? If so you need to get a professional exterminator in to deal with the bed bugs.
Step Two: No bed bug feces? Ok, go to the doctor. It could be scabies as someone else suggested. They can take a small sample of skin and test for scabies.
Any chance that it's lice??? That might explain the head end only.
There are also several medical conditions that cause things that look like flea bites.

It could be just fleas, but you need to be sure first.

Yes, change all your bedding. Vaccum your mattress. Put a flea collar in the vaccum bag. Vaccum all the carpets and watch when you wash your hair to see if any bugs fall out.

Check your bed and bedding for bed bugs.

Go to your local vets (only they can sell proper stuff) and buy a can of ACCLAIM. Its 拢28 a can but it will treat the whole house for infestation of carpets, furniture etc. Wash all bedding etc on a hot wash and vacuum and air your mattress xxxxxxxxx

From what you say it sounds like bed bugs - the easiest way to pick them up is when you are travelling - they will sneak into your clothing etc. Bed bugs bite in a line - maybe 3 or 4 small bites close together. xx

fleas normally bite bottom of legs & ankles ....

face & neck do not sound like fleas, mosqiuito's?

it could be scabies. go see your doctor

I would spend time finding out the origin of these beasties!
Have you brought anything new into your home that could house them?

Are you sure that the problem is fleas? There has been an increased problem with bed bugs over the past several years.
If you think fleas are the problem, strip your bed and wash everything - then go to your local pet store and get some flea bombs - they'll require they you be out of the house for a few hours but they will get rid of the problem.

Best of luck.

Do you see the bugs biting you? I suppose it could be chicken pocks. I don't really know what to do but maybe if it gets really bad get an exterminator or at least change your bedding.

Fleas wouldn't just bite at night! I'd let off a bug bomb in there and then vacuum well and change your bedding. If you still have problems, do it again in another week to ten days and that will take care of any eggs that have hatched.

are you sure that its fleas . maybe its bedbugs.where could the fleas come from

might be bed bugs
you need to call someone to fumigate for you

How do you know they are fleas they could be Zombies

it sounds like an alergy

Fleas don't usually bite this area of your body, and don't only bite at night. I reckon you brought home bed bugs from your travels.
