Flatulence, Male/Female farts...?

MSW student persuing my Doctorial in Cellular Biology. Basically, years of intense researching including obviously presenting a desertation, years of student teaching, you know the routine... but Ive always had this dilemma that I was too shy to address. What is the difference between female and male 'farts'? I can recall one walking toward my professors office one day FINALLY mustering up enough courage to blind side her with with this societal disregarded question that Ive been wanting to get to the bottom of since I was in high school.

Can you explain who's flatulence are more intense? Include (non exhaustive) frequency, aroma, facial expression, and demeanor attributes. Incorporation of scholar cites will probably win you the best answer gavel. LET'S GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

frequency: men do more (because they don't hold back as much)
aroma: womens are worse
facial expression: women look more guilty, men just smile
demeanor attributes: what?

A lot depends on the physical structure of the person and how they handle the foods that they eat, so you could have a woman make just a loud farts ad a man of equal height and frame
