Gas/Flatulence question?


I am getting excessive gas...usually right after I eat a meal. I was just wondering why I am getting gas...


Example of what I eat during a day is..

Oatmeal in the morning with 2 table spoons of Peanut Butter...just started doing the 2 table spoons of Peanut Butter so I doubt it's the peanut butter because I've had this problem for some time.

I work out so I take in a two scoop whey protein shake


Brown Rice and a can of tuna


Pasta and Chicken


Then usually go to bed and eat 2 pb and jelly sandwiches on wheat bread.



Anything I am eating that may cause the flatulence?

High fiber

The whey. It sometimes gives me cramps, I take it pre and post workout.

I heard carbs make you fart and you've been eating lots.

you don't eat any vegetables in fruits. you probably need more fibre in your diet, clean out your gastrointestianal system.
you could possibly lactose intolerant or sensitive to gluten. you're consmuing a lot of foods with gluten in them.

    OK, that was a lot to read! But... Have you been checked for a food or dietary intolerance? You may have celiac sprue, lactose intolerance, or another error in metabolism that causes such gas....
