Sportsmans fitness?


I want to play for a football team... i have football heroes like fernando torres and i love how he plays...

what do i need to do to increase fitness (stamina, pace, natural fitness), what dietry shall i stick too and how do i get abs.

Well every morning, after eating a couple of eggs go on long jogging bouts and try and end it with a few sprints, just take it easy at first.

Get a HR monitor and keep your HR at a steady %60.

Eat healthy, but no low carb diets, Your body needs to know you are getting enough food so your body doesn't store fat. Avoid Junk food and drink only water with the occasional something now and then.

6 meals a day, 2 large meals of meat and vegetables. Others protein rich and low in fat.

Also a couple of 5Kg dumbbell's would help you gain muscle, just exercise with them. do leg extension, 50 four times a week and crunches every other day. Dont over do yourself, just take a break when you need to.

Hello, dont listen to the other guy. You can play for a varety of teams at various levels. Eat a balanced diet. Cut out sugars and excess fats and drink loads of water. 8 glasses a day. (dont over do it) For fitness, start running. Remeber to warm up and warm down (very important in the beginning). For pace you need to do explosive exercises, step ups etc. For stamina you need long runs and cycles. Build it up, start with a 15 min jog, and work from there gradually increasing it. For abs, you need to have minimal fat around you waist, which will come with good exercise and fitness, coupled with stomach crunches, leg risies etc.
