How do you get rid of fistulas?

I have Crohns disease and get fistuals all the time. I am sick of having surgeries. Are there any herbal remedies that have worked for anyone?

hi steffi, I am a female crohnie like yourself. I currently have a fistula on my stoma that is being treated w/ Humira injections. I had a huge fistula back in 1988 that resulted in a very bad abscess as well. Flagyl failed so they had to go in and take the fistula out and move my ileostomy. Yes, they stink. I wish there were a cure for them.

Have you tried Remicade? that has been approved for treating fistulas as well. Make sure that you keep your GI appts. & take your medications as directed. Stopping your meds w/o the help of an MD can cause serious problems.
