Anul fistula? |
I know it's a pain in the ar*e, but has anyone had an anul fistula surgically removed? how bad was your fistula? how often did it leak? how bad was the pain after the operation on a scale of 1 to 10? how long was you off work for? how long did it take to heal?have you had any problems since?was it worth having it removed?the surgeon has told me to have mine removed is a 10 min operation, but 4 to 6 weeks of severe pain, I thought he was just saying that because I have a good sense of humour, but he said it was the truth. I am 51 now but had an anal fistula removed surgically ca. 15 years before (July 1991 to be exact). My post op was not painful. The wound is left open - no stitches or anything. It has to close by itself. It took more than a month and still did not close properly. Had to undergo another minor surgical procedure. Every day twice (morning & evening) I used to sit in a basin of salt water to improve the healing - it is called a Sitz Bath if I remember correctly. Till that time had to wear a tampon like a female - yes that is the best thing to keep the bandage in. It was not painful at all for me. The external opening was in a very tricky place - just below the scrotal sac, missing it by a few millimeters. Still have the family jewels intact. what is it i need to know pleez add can i have best answer please,,,:) its true its painful but you really should get it done. I had one about 7 years ago. It was leaking constantly and had it removed and it was such a relief. The pain was about 8-9. I was off for about a month (I couldn't even sit!) I have no idea what an Anul Fistula is, but it sounds like something else which I will not mention here for the faint of heart. i had one it was a real pain in the a+se didnt realy why consult a surgeon just ask the squirrel who runs |
