Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula and Oesophageal Atresia?

I was born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula. Was just wondering how common this is and if anyone here had it or knows some one who had it?

My cousin's eldest daughter was born with it and after being tube fed for a year had an operation to fix it (although I believe it is done at a much younger age these days).
She has to be careful with her diet but she is now 40 and has led a pretty normal life.

never heard of it before
