Can a failed AV Fistula be reactivated? |
I have an arteriovenous fistula right above the left elbow that failed after three days of surgery. I was wondering if it would have to be done in a new place or if it could be saved with minimal incision. Peritoneal is out of the question... i'm under the impression that if they fail, then you have to get one somewhere else. it's unfortunate that it failed so early, but maybe since it is early it could be repaired (but probably not with a minimal incision). it's possible they could just try it higher up in that arm... You'll have to get a new one. |
