What is Fistula and what is its treatment?

I think this is the advance stage of piles.

A fistula is....

1) an abnormal connection between two parts of the body (such as between the bladder or rectum)

2) an abnormal connection of two different spots of the same part of the body (such as the small intestine)

3) inflammation that works it's way to the outside of your body to where it shows up on the skin (such as from the colon to the outside of your butt).

Treatment for these could require surgery, but if caught early, they can be treated with some anti-biotics.

In medicine, a fistula (pl. fistulas or fistulae) is an abnormal connection or passageway between two epithelium-lined organs or vessels that normally do not connect.

A fistula is an abnormal communication between 2 structures that should not be in connection, sometimes it happens as an escape, almost as if it needs to get away through any passage.

fistula is a hole between one organ and another. eg between bladder and rectum or between rectum and vagina.

Fistula is a type of tumor which is generally removed through surgery.

The Fistula I had was in between the stomach and the esophagus. I had a blockage/opening. This is more common among new Born's, as there is not full development of this passage way. They (Dr.'s) had to go in and do surgery to correct this problem. I was 6 weeks old.

A hole develops inside the rectum. It may start inside and end inside or start inside and end out side. It gives pain while passing stool and you may find some puss also. Surgery is the common remedy for this. There is ayurvedic treatment in shich they pass medicated thread through the hole and keep it for days. Change every 3 to 4 days till it heals. But, very painfull. It is guaranteed cure. Homoeopathy has better medicine for pistula. Silicia is the homoeopathic remedy for this.

This is an extra growth. Blood will oozes from these points. The treatment is to get operated.
