Anybody ever had bladder fistula? what are the symptoms and how is it treated? I hope this site helps answer your question. Urinary bladder fistula means a communication between bladder and another cavity organ or outside ,it will differs between man and women, anyway it should be treated surgical My mother currently has 2 fistulas. You're inevidebly going to have constant u.t.i.'s (urinary track infections). Your dr. will treat in with antibiotics , but it will come back as long as you have fistula. A fistula is when the bowel crosses over to bladder. So, you could also have feces in urine, youre urine will have an extremely strong smell. Fistuals have to be correcting, but it is very dangerous, as you could become septic. It's a catch 22, if you do nothing you could become septic, if you have the surgery there is a chance you could become septic from complications.
