On-Line first aid training?

I'm looking into getting some first-aid training and I see that on-line classes are offered. Has anyone been first-aid/CPR certified this way? If so, can you reccomend a good site?

I am not in the health care field. I'm on the Board for my kid's little league. First aid isn't a requirement, but I'd like to take it anyway.

You really need to learn in a classroom settting. There are so many skills that need practise in order to get down. The rhythm and placement of your hands in cpr, hard and soft splints, pressure bandages...they all need someone watching who knows what they're doing. It only takes about two hours, so it would really be best to actually go out and take a class. There are Red Cross classes offered everywhere for it.

Ive never met anyone in the health field trained online in first aid. I would recommend going the extra mile and putting a few extra dollars into formal on site training if you are planning on using first aid in even emergency situations.

Having insufficient training, from perhaps questionable sources, leaves you open to liability if something goes wrong in your application of this skill.

You really need to do this in person and not on some online class .. you will never get the right training if ur not actually "living it" or should I say practicing it !

there is no online first aid class since the people need to see you do the skill first.... you could read the topics first and possibly test out of the class on the first day

If your mother or father were going into heart surgery, would you want a surgeon that only did an onling course???
So.......
