ATTENTION: Does your First-Aid Kit Contain Latex...? |
Did you know that latex is an extremely common allergy? If you carry latex in your first aid kit you might want to think twice. Latex is very common in medical equipment and is consequently common in first aid kits, which of course could very likely be fatal to many. I'm not sensitive, but all my bandages are latex free. I have a rather extensive first aid kit (it's actually the same kind of kit that is carried on an ambulance...they are called jump kits). Yes, there are some items that contain latex. However, for each item that has latex, there is another of that same item in non-latex. umm i dont have a first aid kit. but yes i know that they make latex free gloves. and veryone should have thoes in their first aid kit my gloves are latex, but people should tell you if they have a latex allergy... my trauma kit does not contain bandaids, but i have plenty of gauze, kerlex, and tape!!! Almost all medical products are now made latex free. We had to try pretty hard to find something with latex in it. |
