What is First Aid? |
In case of an accident would you know what to do? first aid is assisting someone who has sustained some type of injury. the red cross and some local churches offer first aid/cpr courses. you can also check with your local fire department. there may be a nominal fee to cover books, etc. i agree, it is something everyone should know or have some idea of what to do in the event of an emergency. i realize some people are apprehensive about helping others because of blood, possible infectious diseases and even injury to themselves. but with this knowledge and/or skills you can help yourself and family as well. Doing CPR on a real life person is completely different from doing it on a practice dummy.
