My fingernails rip off... how do i make it stop?

I chew my fingernails and bite at my cuticles and stuff... but my fingernails starte to like lift off and then when i leave it alone of even pick at it it peels off. So then I bite it off so it doesnt get caught... this happens right up next to the cuticle, right at the white part at the top of the nail. I've tried not biting, I've tried Vitamin E stuff. Naipolish, rubber bands anything and everything, but my finger nails still peel no matter what i do, and only like four fingers, the index and middle fingers on both hands. It hurts like He!! . And they never seem to peel further than half way down the nail...I'm afraid they won't grow back! How do i make my fingernails stop peeling off?

Possible you have a fungal yeast infection of the nails. Similar to atheletes foot in a way.... go see a doctor, or even ask your pharmacist, as there may be something over the counter they can suggest. Good luck!

You could try taking vitamin E supplements. There is also nail strengthening nail polish. Another more expensive option is to keep them trimmed short and have fake nails put on.

See a Doc.

the product ya want is called 'Superbalm'

Go to Petco or PetSmart and get some Sour Green Apple spray and spray 3 times a day on your fingernails. You should see an immediate improvment.
