Fingernails - colour changes?

A couple of months back I noticed my fingernails were changing colour, they changed from their normal pale pink to lilacy purple with pale tips.

They do have glossy patches on them too, like wax or laquer at the tips.

The moons have also disappeared and are disappearing off the thumbs. What does that mean?

Is it vitamin deficiency?

A purple colour may mean a lack of oxygenated blood getting to the fingers. See a doctor.
