O.O why do my fingernails have a dent in them?

its just weird. o.o
is it genetic or what?
or am i gonna lose my fingernails in a bike accident or something stupid like that?

most likely genetics

It depends on the dent. If it's small, randomly placed (in different spots on different nails and possibly not on every nail) and looks like a pit or a hole, it's probably due to a protein deficiency. If it's larger and goes across the nail, it may be because something hit your nail (similar to how those random white marks show up). If it is thin, goes down the length of the nail, and looks more like a crack or ridge than a dent, watch out; it may be a sign that you have a nail fungus or are about to develop one. However, all these things will randomly show up and go away just as randomly. If your nails have always had dents, it probably is more likely to be genetic.
