Possible effects in soft tissue injury of right index finger with no evidence of tendon fracture? |
I need medical opinion on a "soft tissue injury on the right index without evidence of fracture or tendon injury". Is it possible that this can cause of total lost of the remaining fingers including the thump though medical attention was being made (operation)? thanks Beverly... i need not only opinions from physicians or nurses, i also need from those who had closely related injury or who have known such injury. It is only a "soft-tissue injury"...the injured person (not me) claims that he can't use his 4 other fingers. Can this be true? He has no medical cert to prove his claim. I'm not a medical professional of any sort but this sounds a bit over the edge! Does this individual have a law suit or intends to file one? That usually will percipitate all kinds of peculiar symptoms not found otherwise! If you want a medical opinion the people you should be asking are doctors or a county health nurse but yes, it depends on just how badly the tissue is injured and if there are blood clots-or worse traveling ones...and that would be a worse outcome than you mention but you ought to be able to look for yourself and to feel if it is a seriously swollen, very badly discolored injury or not. If it is it can cut off circulation and cause nerve damage or it could cause you to loose that finger--or more. If it is a minor bruise, gently rub it and get it circulating good so it can get through the healing process faster. If it is a serious one that is not the everyday garden variety see a doctor and either way, if your tetnus isn't up to date-you to get innoculated for it. if the person has feeling in other fingers then you can rule |
