HELP!i dont know whats wrong with my finger? |
Okay,so a week back i hurt my finger, and to keep the injury in place i put wrap around it,and a thumb splint. Your bandage got wet and the skin is reacting to it. Keep the bandage off, allow it to get air and dry out, Do not scratch it. Don't put any salve or ointment on it for now because this will only impede the drying process it is white because it got wet and had no air..and wrinkly because it was wet for days. keep bandage off and it will get better don't worry you probably had the bandage on too tight and didnt take it off often enough for the skin to get some air. the skin is white because its dead/wet skin. its alright just dont bandage so tightly next time. Phone nhs direct thye will give you good advice, hope it gets better soon. normal stuff I agree with all the answers below . although i dont know exactly how you hurt your finger and what exactly happened etc. but the white and wrinkly skin is perfectly explanatory. Its just from the skin not getting enough air and circulation to it. Dont put the wrap back on it for a while and if you do take it off like every 2 hrs to give your skin time to breathe. It very much sounds like you have the early symptoms of Leprosy. I would go to your local dr or er. because when you put it in the splint you might have shifted the injury. and more might have to be done. |
