What could cause a finger to be swollen without injury? |
on occassion i crack my fingers, but this time i finger swelled and became sore. I normally wouldnt worry but its been over a month and it still hurts. I went to the er and they said it wasnt broken, but he didnt have an answer to what could have caused this. Please help! Thanks so much. the doctor didn't tell u what caused it? geez...some doctor. if you went to the doctor and he doesn't know, then i have no clue. that's really weird, tho. over eatin or certain drugs fluid build up Maybe arthritis. See your doctor. it could swell for many reasons u may have damaged your ligaments or tendons, go and see a doctor and explain that it still hurts a month after u did it he may tell u what is causing it and wot u can do to help it. good luck Sometimes a spider or an ant can bite you and you will not know when it happens-My finger was so swollen and red last week and then I remembered that i had cut some roses back and probably got bit by a bug of some kind. You may have also burst a tiny blood vessel in your finger or maybe cracked a bone that did not show up when you went to the Dr. Not all fractured bones will show up if they are tiny. fractures. I don't think cracking your fingers is a good thing to do--as I am sure you have learned by now--It will make your knuckles grow large and ugly--so stop this habit. I think infection has a lot to do with this |
