What type of doctor deals with tendon injuries in the fingers?

Look for an Orthopedic Surgeon who specilizes in the hand.

I would first of all check with your insurance companies. Many of them require a referall from your PCP if you want to see a specialist. However, I would think a sports doctor would be the best for something like that.

I had mine done by an orthopedic surgeon about 5 monthes ago. Left hand pinky and ring finger. I have less pain but my movement is limited now. So be careful with who you choose. Make sure they have done this particular surgery before. Good Luck.
