Numbing in my index finger.? |
Hello, two days ago I woke up to find that my index finger had gone numb. At first I thought it was what we call, "pins and needles" caused from pressure trapping the circulation blood to the extremities, But the sensation has not gone away, or even changed. To give you an idea of the area affected, it's the entire right side of the finger when the hand is palm down, and also the tip. (the left side seems fine) I have feeling in the effected area, but the sensation is similar to local aesthetic. In addition, when I rub the knuckles between my index and middle finger I experience a nervous shock thorough the finger. Nothing has happened recently to point a direction to the cause, no injuries of strain. Any advice or explanation would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like a nerve malfunction. Sometimes when the nerves pass by the joints they get pinched. It doesn't have to be the finger joints either. When my back or neck bones get out of place, sometimes my hand, sometimes my whole arm, will get the sensations you are getting. You might wish to see a chiropractor to see if any bones are out or joints are malfunctioning. |
