What have i done to my finger? |
yesterday while helping my husband put up a chicken wire fence, a piece of the wire stuck into the knuckle of my left index finger. there is no wound just a littie pin prick, but it has left me with pain in the finger and across the back of my hand. such a tiny injury should not create such pain. just opening a bottle of milk this morning was painful. damaged nerve endings dont worry will repair themselfs but best to get a tetanus shot and injury was caused by metal and was an outside incident. you may have hit a nerve or a tendon in ur hand just give it time it should be ok soon Sound like you hit a nerve or it is infected. Does it feel warm to the touch and is the area of pain expanding? That could mean infection and you need antibiotics quick - today if you can. That can get serious in a hurry. the fence was dirty. clean it immeadiatly with alcohol, and go to the er for a antibiotic before you get lock jaw! its probably infected. I'd go see a doctor. i think you might have what i had.. i got something stuck in my finger and it hurt sooo much.. unfortunately i was in a foreign country.. lol. i think that it might be an infection.. go to a doctor before it gets too worse!! if you wait long you have to get surgery! Not sure but thats weird cuz yesterday at school we were playing tag and i put my hand on the slide when i was sitting down and someone stepped on my pinkie and its still hurting from 12:40 yesterday =( How recent was your last tetanus shot? Sounds like you hit a nerve or have bruising deep in the knuckle. Try heat. If it gets worse, see a doctor. Sometimes the smallest poke can cause more problems than you would think. I HAVE NOOO IDEA! i think you should go check this out with a doctor. |
