How can you help old injuries heal? |
When I was a kid I injured my hand (little finger and ring finger got bent back WAY futher than they were meant to). I don't know if they were fractured or dislocated or what exactly was wrong but almost my entire hand went black and purple and all the veins were swollen and sticking out. It was about 2 months before the bruising went away and I could move the fingers again. It sounds like a problem with circulation. Perhaps back then you damaged some blood vessels or capillaries. It could also be slight nerve damage. I'm sure you haven't gone to the doctor because it was such an old injury, but perhaps the issue is "flaring up" now or maybe a recent injury that you aren't aware of (even carpal tunnel) has caused you to inflame the old injury. Stop treating yourself. Immediately consult a ortho specialist. |
