How to help a hurt/overworked muscle?


all i can think is OW...my P.E. class went to the weight room to lift a little, and i could only lift hand weights with my right arm because of a finger injury on my left hand. i think i overdid it on the curls, though. my bicep KILLS and i can hardly move my elbow without it hurting majorly. how can i ease it along?? i can't do anything i like because of my extremity injuries. >_<

go take a warm shower. and even though it may hurt stretching will make it feel better. If all else fails suck it up and go to sleep

deep heat and a bit of massaging should do the trick

Upper Arm: Compression Wrap Technique
First check your skin for any open wounds skin irritation, shave if necessary, clean with alcohol wipes.

Materials: elastic bandage (ACE wrap), elastic tape, regular white tape
-Wrap below the effected area (bicep) with the bandage and work your way to the top of the area (fold the end of the wrap under).
- When wrapping your bicep, make sure you make X's on top while your going around your arm
- Make sure the most tension is directly in the middle and on top of the bicep
-After finishing that wrap, take the elastic tape and wrap it around where the end of the ACE bandage is, which should be at the top
- Cover the elastic tape with white tape once around
- Cover the bottom end of the bandage with white tape once around (this will keep it from sliding).

Check your circulation at the end (make sure it isn't turning purple and is comfortable).
