I've had many finger injuries. Go to your local drug store and pick up a finger splint - it'll be in the first aid aisle, it'll probably be blue metal with blue padding. The metal will be both on top and bottom of your finger, leaving only the sides open. Also pick up some medical tape to hold the splint on there. Leave the splint on for a few days, even to bed. However, take it off for a little bit each day to take a shower and apply some ice to it. Take motrin if you have pain, and you should be good as new in a few days or so(mine took 2 weeks but my finger was broken). When you remove the splint each day your finger will be a little stiff but it'll pass each time. Hope this helps. :-) go to your dr Anything involving a joint takes time. |
