When is Fifth Disease NOT contagious?

My hubby and I had to take our 7 year old to the emergency room this morning at 5:00am with 103.9 degree fever. She is now fever free, although the rash can last for weeks. My mother-in-law is freaking out that she will contaminate the christmas eve party. Anyone dealt with this? Fifth disease or obnoxious mom-in-law. I do not think my daughter is contagious anymore, as you are most contagious BEFORE the rash.
Merry Christmas! and Happy Birthday Jesus!

"the period of communicability is right before the onset of the rash, until a few days after." She is probably still contagious, but tell your mom-in-law you are taking her anyway. Then do whatever you think is best.
