Anyone ever have the 'fifth disease'? |
in third grade, i was the first to have it, and by the end of the year, over 75 percent had it. it is not a 'disease', persay, it is usually just a non-itching rash and your temperature goes up really high and you just turn all red. i have no idea how i got it, it just unexpectedly popped up. it really isn't that uncomfertable, though, just extremely contagious. I had a form of it, but it was only on my face by my nose. I had to stay out of school so other students didn't get it too. I was in high school at the time. Not that anyone would love it but I HATED IT! It looked SO YUCK! Thanks for the reminder. LOL Never heard of it, but it sounds uncomfortable! Yeah. I had it when I was 5, ironically. my son had it - it sucks I never heard of it, before now, so I looked it up on Google. my sons had " slapped cheek syndrome " or " fifths Disease " when he was about 1.5 or 2 yrs old. He didnt have that high of a fever but he got a "lacy" looking rash ( not raised, just looks like red on your arms ). Hes fine now. My daughter had it when she was two; it was very uncomfortable for her. This is usually a childhood problem and there's not much you can do for it. I had it when I was little. We now believe it was one of the triggers to the autoimmune problems I am having now. |
