Has anyone out there ever had fifth disease as an adult? |
Just found out I do and wondering what I have to look forward to. Never would have known but my daughter has it too (red, hot cheeks) So far I've had joint aches and fever and now the glands in my neck seem to be swelling. I stumbled on to your question and had to laugh out loud. I have been spared that one, but my kiddos have infected me with all kinds of other "childhood" illnesses! The joint pain and swelling usually resolve in a week or two, but they may last several months. I have it right now as well. My joints are so sore I can't even put it into words. I can barely even walk! My wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, and neck are all SO sore! My glands are also swollen and I have a terrible sore throat. I know exactly what you are dealing with! |
