It is just a viral illness. Treat the symptoms. Motrin or Tylenol for fever, benedryl for itching/rash. Goes away in a few days.

.I think I would take her and get a second opinion. I have seen the fifth disease, but don't remember swollen hands and feet.It may be better to be safe , plus she must be uncomfortable

I haven't known an adult to get it although I had to deal with it regularly with my work (childcare) it is also a disease that dogs can get and should be vaccinated yearly for it.
