When an article refers to the "trunk" on your body, what part of your body is that? Fifths Disease?

I'm reading an article on Fifths Disease, i think my son may have, his cheeks are bright red out of nowhere, mild fever, cold symptoms, etc. it say he will get rash on his trunk. What is his trunk ans has anyone you know had fifths disease?

my grandson had the fifth disease a couple of years ago, the trunk is the upper torso, chest ,stomach and back. The is little to nothing that you can do other than give over the counter meds for the fever and muscle pain. He will Begin to feel better in a few weeks.

the abdomen and back of abdomen area is considered the trunk.

Chest abdomen and pelvis, excludes the neck and head and the extremities.

The trunk is the main part of your body, excluding head, neck, arms and legs.

The trunk, I believe is the chest, and abdomen.

I have never known anyone with that particular disease.

trunk refers to the middle portion of his body-chest, belly, lower abdoman etc. Usually w/Fifths, there's a lot of joint pain as well-fingers, wrists & all other major joints. Also a lot of fatigue. It usually lasts about a week & the doctors just elt it run it's course, but go have him checked to be sure

My daughter had fifths disease when she was younger. The trunk area is the chest and stomach area. If I recall, the virus didn't make her feel much worse than a bad cold, and all symptoms disappeared within a week or so.
Hope he recovers quickly.
