Neck sounds...?

A week after Thanksgiving of '06 I caught Fifth's disease. (aka. slapped face disease) For adults, you get what the kids get, mild fever, red cheeks, and a lacy rash all over your body. But for adults it attacks your joints too. Well, a couple of days before I noticed some lumps on the back of my neck. (my lymph nodes) Not for all (so severe)... But for me, all of my joints were swollen and stiff and fever painfull. I could barely move. I couldn't turn my neck. Since then, my neck pops like never before and it sounds like I have sand grinding in my neck when I turn my neck in any direction. I know that y'all can't diagnose me. But, I wondered if anyone had a simular situation or any thoughts. One other thing that seems to have developed after this is cronic pink eye or conjunctivitis. I never had it before this. Medicine will clear it up but it always comes back!

Sounds like you are having a systemic reaction. Go see a chiropractor. You'll give your body the best chance to overcome what's happening to you. Medication while possibly reducing the inflammation will give your body even more work to deal with and x-rays will primarily show bones not discs. The grinding is probably occurring at the facet joints in the neck or possibly even some of the soft tissue bands adjacent to the vertebra. This is possibly a residual or effect of inflamed tissue in or around the joints. In any case you need a thorough workup and exam possibly including xrays for the neck but not for the discs. Get professional help because long term imflammation can lead to other problems including joint erosions and/or fusions that can be prevented. Hope this helps.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

sounds serious to me

maybe go get a nice massage

go to a doctor and have them give u a medication

hi
you need to see a Dr like yesterday

get an x-ray done on your neck. this disease might have done some damage to your discs in your neck. meanwhile take it easy and try not to move your neck too much. [just in case ] it may have hurt your neck discs.

Post infectious Arthritis is a rare complication of Mumps infection in Adult age and it sounds like you could have this.
Other complications in Adlut age are meningitis and encephalitis.
I think you are well adviced to have your doctor check it out ASAP.

As for the pink eye is it possible that you keep reinfecting yourself with the virus through the use of infected cosmetic utensils?
If you use the same brush (for example) to make up your eyes as you used when you last had pink eye, it is possible that this brush since it had been exposed to the virus can reinfect your eye.
