Recurrent throat infections?

Ok..so this in the FIFTH "Throat infection" i have had THIS YEAR! Rapid onset, high fever (102-104), swollen right neck lymph node and right side throat pain, especially when swallowing, headache, and chills.
What the heck is going on? I have been to the doctor during each "outbreak", the first 2 times they gave me Zithromax and everything but the lymph node swelling went away, only to come back about 2 or 3 months later. The third time i was given Doxycycline and the fourth Amoxil.
Now, round five i went to an ENT and he just gave me Zithromax and told me to gargle with Peroxide..

I have also been to an Infectious Disease Doctor and had blood culteres done to see if something else was going on, but all was negative. I have had step tests, urine tests, mono tests..all negative.

What is the deal with these recurring throat infections!!??

I am a 27 yr old female by the way
Thanks

HI Friend

Here are some ideas to heal the issue.

Cause
Tonsillitis is caused either by Streptococcal bacteria or, less commonly, by viral infections. For safety sake, throat cultures are necessary to rule out strep throat and family members may also need to be tested, as they may be carriers and need to be treated along with the infected individual.

Note: The tonsils are an integral part of the lymphatic system and they play an important role in adrenal function, and should therefore be preserved.

Natural Cures

Aromatherapy: Inhalations with bergamot, thyme, lavender, benzoin, tea tree, geranium, and lemon can help soothe symptoms. Lemon essential oil can also be used as a gargle.

Diet: Drink lots of fluids, especially pure filtered water, diluted fresh organic vegetable juices, warm broths, and light soups. To relieve pain, take two tablespoons of honey with a squeeze of warm lemon juice and sip slowly. If you are taking antibiotics, eat plain, organic yogurt with live cultures to protect healthy intestinal flora.

Fasting: A pure water or diluted juice fast for the first 48 hours of symptoms can often speed healing. (See Detoxification Therapy for more.)

Flower Essences: Take Rescue Remedy庐 for accompanying stress.

Herbs: Combine the tinctures of cleavers and echinacea in equal parts and take one teaspoon of this mixture three times a day. As an alternative, you can also drink a hot infusion made from equal parts of dried elder flower, yarrow, and peppermint throughout the day. The use of cayenne (hotter the better) pepper can provide healing and relief immediately.

Homeopathy: Belladonna, Merc sol., Phytolacca, Lachesis, and Aconite are helpful homeopathic remedies.

Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment.
*Purified water is essential for any hydrotherapy treatment. Remedies for Treating Chlorinated Bath Water offers clear instructions and recommendations.

Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can be helpful: carrot, beet, and tomato; carrot, pineapple; carrot, orange; carrot, apple; and carrot, celery, and ginger.

Nutritional Supplementation: The following nutrients are recommended: Vitamin A, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, and zinc lozenges. If you are taking antibiotics, also supplement with Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacteria. Garlic capsules can also be helpful.

Alternative Professional Care
If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown useful for treating tonsillitis: Acupuncture, Detoxification Therapy, Homeopathy (especially the specific Homeopathies available from Germany), Magnetic Field Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Neural Therapy, Osteopathy, Oxygen Therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Best of health to you

If you get chronic throat infections, you may want to consider having your tonsils removed. Scarring can cause bacteria and food particles to accumulate and cause repeated infections. If at all possible try to retain your tonsils, but in this case removal would be a good option.
