Sorry to hear of the pain you are going through. I completely understand your frustration. I have screamed on many occasion out of frustration with my pain, fatigue, and the Dr.'s. To relieve stress I use Yoga. Just simple standing up techniques. Also a great website I found is www.fibromyalgiajournal.org. It is a simple site with good info.
Best wishes in your journey

I have fibro and when my pain meds dont work a massage or soaking in very warm water help some. Or have someone stretch you where it hurts. Good luck!

The debate over exercise (routine, incremental or whatever) in the control of fibromyalgia or even chronic fatigue syndrome (cfs) or chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (cfids) continues to rage; some practitioners say it's ok; other's dispute.

So, listen to your body.

This is tricky advice since "on a good day/hour" the impulse is to be physical. However, post-exertional malaise/fatigue (w/accompanying profound pain), in my experience, can be delayed for 36 hours or more. Then, all things crash & I pray for a catheter and colostomy simply to avoid making it down the hall to the bathroom.

Do not aggravate this serious condition by personal self-recrimination. You did what you did with what you thought at the time was a good idea. Just let it go & try to live in the moment, so that you & your friend, your body, can make it through until you see your doctor.

I have been severely disabled & w/o medical insurance for more than a decade. If I can help, I will. Perhaps you might be interested in some, relatively new, and effective drug therapies available to those w/insurance.
