I have a fibroids it is really large i look like im 3 months pregnant can anyone tell me how to shrink it?

is there any medication i can take that will shrink the uterine fibroid without affecting my chances of getting pregnant. is there any method to shrink it apart from having surgery. or any food that causes it to shrink. i have already had a operation about three years ago to remove fibroids but it grew back. it is really very embarassing looking like i am pregnant.
the fibroid is uterine that is it is in my womb i want to get rid of it without affecting my chances of getting pregnant i am getting married soon and want to have kids.

Seriously I would recommend surgery again - there is no meds to remove fibroids - I have one myself it was small when I found out but now it has grown and I would not hesitate to go with surgery. Sorry! I know you did not want to hear that but yes Surgery is the only answer!

The ONLY way to get rid of fibroids is by surgery. If you have one that big. You need to have that taken care of way before considering getting pregnant.

I can only recommend you check out this website www. arvigomassage.com your local practitioner might be able to help.

I had fibroids at the beginning of this year. Since I am past childbearing age, I opted for a hysterectomy. In most cases, though, ablation is an option, "which uses heat to disrupt the blood supply to the fibroid, causing it to shrink. This is a relatively new procedure and not available in all medical facilities." The link below provides other options.

As far as I know, you can't just shrink them on your own. Your OB/GYN would be your best option and give you the best advice on what he determines is best for you.

I was recently diagnosed with fibroids and have decided to have surgery. Based on what you said about the size of your fibroids, they are too large to ignore surgery as an option. The surgery is called a myomectomy, and it is really a very routine procedure. If you look like you're 3 months pregnant, that means one or more of your fibroids is the size of a grapefruit. I can't imagine there being a medication or food that radical to shrink a tumor of that size.

There are some natural recipes for uterine fibroid teas, but I wouldn't soley rely on those--like a vitamin, use it as a supplement not a replacement for what you really need (surgery).

It is very important to speak to a doctor that will explain your situation clearly to you so that you can make the best decision. I underwent an ultrasound--external and internal (the kind pregnant women get)--to confirm my OB's diagnosis. I also went to another doctor, got another pelvic exam, and had another evasive ultrasound. The second doctor backed up what my OB said about surgery, and I felt more comfortable making my decision. I also got copies of the film and the report for my own personal records--most medical facilities will give this to you if you ask.

I went to www.amazon.com and ordered some books on fibroids, which has been very helpful as well. Now is not the time to hide from what has happened to you--I know that initially it seems scary, but if you don't do anything--the fibroids will grow larger and may cause some more serious problems. I never thought I would have surgery, but you can't see what's going to happen in your life before it happens, sometimes...you just have to step out on faith and trust God.

Since you indicated that you want to have children, if you don't treat your fibroids now, you run the risk of miscarriage or emergency C-section..I can't imagine any woman wanting to endure the heartache of losing a child--so why not do something about your fibroids now?

I know that I don't want a C-section, I want to give birth vaginally, so I'm doing everything in my and God's power to clear the way for healthy pregnancies and deliveries...

This is from my personal experience.
I had too many uterine fibroids, as big as size of 20 weeks pregnancy. Doctor said only option I had was surgery. There was no other way to reduce the size as i had more then 20 fibroids and they were big. Before surgery doctor gave me 4 shots of luprone injection to reduce the size of the fibroids but when you take luprone, you cant get pregnant.
After that I had surgery but the fibroids grew back again. I got pregnant with the fibroids and my daughter was born in 30 weeks by surgery and I also removed my uterus totally.
So I think you have only option that is to have surgery. There is no diet to reduce the size, no medication to shrink the fibroids, unfortunately. But if you have single fibroid you can try embolization that is stopping blood supply to the fibroid so that it shrinks. This can be done without surgery.
