Is it possible to have fibroids without ever having any bleeding or other symtoms? |
two years ago Dr, told me I had small fibroids however I'm getting an ultrasound in the next few days Dr. says fibroids have grown however no heavy bleeding or plain just normal periods. Is heavy bleeding definitly in my near future? Is it possible to have fibroids and never have any symtoms? I'm 42 years old. My sister had small fibroids which also grew then she started with very heavy bleeding which then ended up in a hysterecomy at age 43. Thanks. Absolutely!! I had a huge fibroid that was bigger than my uterus. I looked like I was about 5 months pregnant. Finally I went to my doctor and asked him if I could be pregnant even though I still had normal periods. He scheduled an ultrasound and found the fibroid. I had no signs or symptoms other that my distended belly. I had a hysterectomy at the age of 37. Oh well, God had blessed me with 3 beautiful children, I didn't really need that equipment anymore. Freedom from periods is a wonderful thing. |
