Uterine fibroids.............help!!!??... |
has anyone out there had uterine fibroids??? Yes, my symptoms were usually heavy bleeding, bleeding between periods, and pain in front on both sides (around hip bones). Mine lead to a tumor in my uterus weighing 5 pounds. Wasn't treated for it, since I didn't know what was going on due to the fact that the doctor I had at the time didn't do a vaginal ultrasound! I have answered your questions before, my age is 38. Hope you get a better answer! Oh, I didn't tell you before because I had forgotten, but I sometimes felt a pain from the belly button, felt like pulling on the inside... don't know what that was....Good to ask alot of questions on this female stuff-you will be able to get help earlier and maybe avoid a hysterectomy and hopefully, be able to help others...that's your job, right? Good luck!!! OMG I had those I am 30 y/o and my symptoms were terrible, cramping, I mean cramping worse then having my kids. Then when Aunt Flow would come each month the first 2 days it was slow or regular, then on days 3-4 I would gush, literally a pad every hour and a half. Then the last 2-3 days would be normal again. On days 3-4 I would not be able to go anywhere just due to when I was active on those days I would soak through a pad in 1 hour, easy. If you think that you may have them, due to your periods being weird, which I don't know why I didn't give you this advise sooner, then wear a pad on your heavy days so that you can have a better idea of how heavy or light you are on certain days. I never had more than one period a month when I had mine and with me they put me on very strong birth control which made them go down in size and helped some, but after I got off the birth control, due to wanting to have another baby, my periods started to get a little heavy again, but I get pregnant very quick and only had 1 period from the time that I quit the pill and became pregnant. The pill that my Dr. put me on was the most hormone pill that he could and like I said it helped tremendously with both the cramping and the flow. Hope I was of some help. My mom has had those ever since I can remember. She had terrible cramps, and sometimes massive hemorrhage. The doctors will probably do some ultrasounds, and other tests to determine what treatment is appropriate for you specifically. |
