Have you had fibroids removed?

I have fibroids of the left side of my uterus. The upper is attached to my bowel and the lower is attached to the main artery to my left side of the uterus. I am having a total abdominal hysterectomy with possible colostomy and heamorraging with blood tranfusions. Then intensive care. Anyone had the same thing? Any information would be gratefully appreciated.

I did...but I didn't have the adhesions that you have... Mine was able to be removed via laparoscopic myomectomy...

h jojammum48, few years back my wife have same fibriods problem as you. well the detection of fibroids in my wife uterus started off very small but eventually it grow to a size of a small cocunut. her gynaelogist advised her to go for an operation to have her uterus remove (with the fibroid).
my wife is doing fine and faced no more pain or swelling in her abdomen after the operation. wish you well!
