Daily Fiber consumption? The Moyo clinic says I need 38 grams.?


I really don't think it is possible to eat this much fiber and still have a balanced diet without becoming obese? What are some ideas about a reasonable amount of fiber to consume? I am not eating two cups of split peas every day or becoming a vegetarian, all I want to know is a reasonable amount. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fiber/N...

25 grams a day is a reasonable amount. Add some beans and/or lentils to your diet (soup is an easy way to do this) and you can easily get 10 grams or more in a meal. Popcorn is also high in fiber.
