Protein / Fiber - is it true that starting off your morning with Protein or Fiber is best to keep you feeling full and satisfied. I'm trying to change my eating to be a bit more healthy including adding protein and fiber to my diet. So far I have been looking for breakfast foods like drinks/shakes/smoothies that include these things. Is it best to add these to your morning meal? Since lunch and dinner are probably the only time I might consume some chicken or something to give me the other proteins I need. I think for awhile I was missing fiber and protein from my diet making me feel tired and weak. Eating in morning is best. It kicks your metabolism up for a good part of the day. Not eating sends the body a "we need to store everything today" and can lead to larger fat stores. Yes you will feel full longer than eating carbs which are burned up quickly. Bread and pastries tend to put you on a roller coaster ride. You need more to get that boost. |
