Fiber Flush Effect?


First off - is it valid?

Secondly, does it work if you're constipated? I know it has something to do with the food moving quicker, so if it's all backed up, does the high fiber intake still inhibit some calories from being absorbed?

I asked because I had a break in my diet today of about 600 calories. But it was mostly in FiberOne cereal... I counted and I had over 200 grams of fiber. I know that's a hella lot, but I normally have like 100/day. Anyway... would the Fiber Flush Effect still be effective in the case of constipation? (because I know i'll be constipated for awhile). I'd like it to at least negate some of my binge tongiht.

You shouldn't over consume on fibre because eventually your body will just adapt to the high amounts in the long run and it won't help you down the road.
