Fiber? what are the benefits of fiber?


if you take a fiber tablet along with fiber enriched oatmeal it will make you regular right? also does it aid in weight loss if you're constantly going to the restroom?

Anytime you take fiber, be sure to get plenty of water. Take your body weight, divide by 2 - take that many ounces of water daily. If you drink a glass of tea, drink an additional glass of water. If you drink a cup of coffee, drink an additional cup of water. Tea and coffee are diuretics.
The body makes fat to store toxins. When you burn fat you release toxins. If you have enough of the right kind of fiber in your diet (soluble) it will absorb the toxins and carry them out of your body. Otherwise you will just reabsorb the toxins. Also, as your liver cleans your blood it stores the toxins, the unused hormones, the cholesterol, etc. in the gallbladder. When you have enough fiber in your meal (whether as supplement or high fiber food) and the stomach dumps into the small intestine, the gallbladder dumps to emulsify the fats in the meal. The fiber will absorb all the toxins, cholesterol, etc. and carry it out of your body.
According to some sources a lot of people are carrying a lot of excess baggage around with them in their colon. As the fiber (insoluble) brushes the colon walls and cleans it, the excess is carried out of the body. Sometimes a good colon cleanse is all that is needed for a person to lose some weight fast.

Keeps you regular, lowers bad cholesterol and removes some anti-oxidants.

You don't want to constantly go to the bathroom or you will be loosing too many minerals and that makes your enzymes go wacky.
If you need to go to the bathroom or be regular eat more fruits, celery, pour flax seed on some yogurt, exercise and drink lots and lots of water.
Just eat good foods and you will lose weight. Oatmeal is good.
