Need more fiber in my diet?

The doctor says I need to be eating... 25 to 30 grams I believe of fiber each day.

It has been a pain in the butt. I just want it out of the way completely each day, not think about it. I'm trying to eat things like Bran Buds and Fiber One, they are low in calories and you can get all you need out of the way in just a bowl. But one, they taste eh. And two, the former has BHT (I believe that's the name, the box isn't handy) and the latter has aspertine (the sweeter, I cannot spell it).

Any suggestions on something better tasting and just as "one-shot-and-I'm-done"?

It's better to spread your fiber out across the whole day, but you can always boost the fiber content of anything by adding a little flax seed or ground flax seed.

Personally, I love grape nuts with flax seed and vanilla whey powder with yogurt or milk. The whey powder adds a little cakey flavor that I find quite satisfying.

oh my gosh! I just bought these DELICIOUS fiber bars (I think it's called Flavor & Fiber, i got them @ stew leonards). They have 12 grams of fiber in one bar and they are so good. They only have Stew Leonard's in NY and CT though... but I'm sure there are other fiber bars out there!!

A balanced diet combining necessary nutrients might include fish, lean meat, spinach, cauliflower, green beans, sprouts, salads, olives, avocado, cucumber, aubergine, broccoli, leek, pimiento and berries. However, before choosing the right diet for weight loss, it is advisable to consult a physician, who can make the right diet recommendations according to the digestive and immune system of the person.

I've never tried it but benefiber supposidly blends really well with water or some other kind of drink.

Try Fibresure which a fibre supplement in powder form. It has no taste and can be added to food or drinks. Each teaspoon contains 3 grams of fibre.

I've put a link to the Fibresure website below. The web page contains an FAQ question and answers section to help answer any questions you may have about the product.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!
