Fiber pills...? |
What do fiber pills (chew tablets) really do for you? Too many people eat too little fiber. For the bowels to work properly, a lifelong daily intake of 25-30 grams, or about one ounce of dietary fiber daily, is required. Fibers help prevent constipation, lower cholesterol and can help with loosing weight because you will be less hungry. Fiber is a GREAT choice to control hunger and keeping your digestive system "regular". It's also a good way to lower cholestrol without using prescriptions. I would have to say white rice. ...Almonds are not high in omega 3. Fiber does not reduce fat absorption. Avocados have both. Fish are are very polluted so do not take fish oil capsules unless they are the expensive PHARMACEUTICAL G... I always get at least 35 grams a day, often more. I don't take any supplements, I just have a cup of Fiber One cereal with half a cup of skim milk for breakfast every day, and lunch is ofte... Yes-- I DID know fiber But, alas, I got my fill of it all and--- that relationship passed !!! ...seriously... forget the pills, and you dont need to count the fiber in your food, cant have too much, so eat a few leaves of lettuce and a couple of celery sticks and you're more than set. ...It does have a lot of fiber, but has other junk in it, too. What bothers me are the corn starch, corn oil as well as the preservatives and additives. Nearly all dry cereals are highly processed a... yes ive lost 22 pounds ...Fiber doesn't form a barrier in the GI tract between food and stomach/intestinal walls. You're still getting the nutritional benefits. ... |
