How much psyllium fiber supplements should I take? |
My fiber supplement says 3g fiber, 2g soluble fiber in one tablespoon. If I'm suppose to get 25g of fiber a day, that would be 8 tablespoons but my body can't seem to handle even 4 tablespoons. Not a big veggie eater.... so I'm confused, how much should I take, what is normal? Ideally, you should have 25 mg. of fiber a day, but rarely does anyone actually consume this much fiber through their daily diet alone. enough to make you "move". psyllium fiber is a laxative.. |
