Fiber Restricted Diet--Kindly explain in Lay-man's term? |
I am going to report about Fiber Restricted diet & I want my audience to really understand why fiber is restricted or this certain diet even exist. I mean i know this is good for pt/s who havve under gon GI surgery but then all i am asking is for you to explain this information in a not-so-mediacl/nutrionist way! For people who have had GI surgery their digestive tract is more sensitive to gas build up which may irriate previous GI operations. Fiber, especially soluble fiber, produces gas in the large intestine which may be a very painful experience with those with an already aggrevated GI tract. |
