Does a fiber supplement result in a lower net carb count in foods the same way naturally occuring fiber does?


Regarding the Atkins Diet - I know that the more naturally occuring fiber in a given food results in a lower net carb count for that food. My question is if a fiber supplement would further reduce the net carb count?

That would be great if it worked-Go Fiber !

However, the fiber supplement will make you feel fuller but it would not affect the snickers' bar, high carb count that you may have eaten earlier.

And it would take 2.8 miles of jogging to rid your body of the 280 calories in a snickers' bar.
