What is the best fiber supplement you'd recommend to take on a daily basis? |
I saw Dr Oz on Oprah the other day and know that my fiber levels are way too low. What is the best fiber supplement I could take on a daily basis? I saw it too lol... i went to the drug store and purchased Benefiber Fiber. this is a Fiber Supplement. you can mix with almost anything Try it in your coffee, juice, yogurt, your baked goods, favorite recipes or whatever you desire You won't even taste it. flax seed crushed My doctor has me take psyllium husks, 30 grams every day. That is alot. about 3 heaping tablespoons. DIfficult to take but it is good for you. vegetables... peas, celery, broccoli, etc. apples, berries, whole grains and nuts. If you are not getting enough fiber you are not eating a healthy diet. don't get sucked into buying fiber, all you are helping is the manufacturer. Flaxseed meal, stir some into your oatmeal in the morning. Put about 2 tablespoons in after the oatmeal is cooked, otherwise it'll get a weird spongy texture. Not only good for your digestive system, but also good for your cholesterol, blood pressure, and has cancer fighting properties. It has sort of a nutty neutral flavor. i would try fiber one cereal first it is good plain like a snack and low in calories also flax seeds are the best soak them in water and you get the best oil Natural foods that are high in fiber are the green leafys, especially cabbage.
