12 weeks pregnant, getting sharp pains in abdomen? |
I'm nearly 12 weeks pregnant, and have had several ultrasounds. I have seen the baby and the fetal heartbeat, and have had a cyst on my ovary that has since gone away. I am now experiencing sharp pains in my abdomen and am wondering what the cause of this could be? I would tell the Dr. about your sharp pains, but it could be caused by the stretching of your uterus to make room for your growing baby. I remember feeling this way as the baby grew inside me. The feeling was kind of like a side stitch or pulling sensation. I hope this helps, but still ask your Dr. God Bless you and your baby! See your Gynocologist. Hello- I agree you should check with your doctor. When I was about 3-4 months pregnant I would get sharp pains too...and my doctor said it was the tendons that hold the uterus in place growing and stretching and that it can be very painful. Or depending on where its located it could be urinary tract infection. But whenever you have stomach pains you should double check with your doctor. Hi! This is my 1st post :) The pain sounds like it's your uterus growing, but I would call your Gyn to be on the safe side. |
